On Pointe Proofreading

I am now at a pointe (gotta keep the ballet alive ūüėČ) to offer some services that I have done in the past. I am happy to work with any author with regard to fees below. If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me.¬†Below is a breakout of services offered. If there is something you need that isn’t listed reach out and I’m happy to work out an arrangement with you.

The proofing services below come with the utmost confidentiality and respect. Also, your work will be treated as the principal of the ballet. Works being submitted for proofreading will be read through twice. Any issues found will be sent back to the author to adjust/make corrections. We then ask for your work back one final time for the coda. Giving one final performance review before completing our agreement.

Ouvert РThe blurb really opens your story. It has to be just right to draw in the reader. Offering the option to have your blurb written, you will get a selection of three options to choose from. This opening is offered for $25 and requires a copy of the story to derive the blurb.

Petit All√©gro – The novella is a short story that you want readers to read and love. It is quick and fast like the petit allegro in ballet. No less moving than a novel but it’s over in sudden time. At 25,000 words or less this proofreading service is offered for $25.

Embo√ģt√© –¬†Fits together your novel. Making sure the reader has a satisfying¬†read regarding all aspects. Proofing to make sure that the reader has a satisfied experience flowing from beginning to end. For 25,000 to 50,000 words this service is offered at $50.

Envelopp√©¬†– Will envelop your readers in a lengthy novel. You don’t want them to skip a beat reading this work with misspelled words and typos. We will make sure that they are fully enveloped and in love with your work. For anything greater than 50,000 words this service is offered at $50.

While this is a new feature being offered on this blog, proofing is not a new area for me. Proofing papers in undergrad and graduate school led to the beginning. Once I found a love for reading again (after LM got older), I fell into working with some fantastic authors.

If you’ve made it this far and have any questions at all please reach out. I will be more than happy to answer questions and work with you any way I can.

After much procrastination, I finally decided to go with a professional to proof my books before printing and I’m so glad I went with Mary! She helped give my manuscript that final polish and now I’m 100% confident my work is error-free before they go to print! Thank you so much Mary!
